Dr Godwin was born and brought up in Sussex before moving to Southampton to study medicine. After graduating in 2010 she spent her first few years of hospital based practice in Dorset, before moving to Brighton to pursue her career and training in General Practice. She spent the last year of her training in a busy surgery in Burgess Hill before moving to Mile Oak in August of 2015. She took a sabbatical year from the practice travelling to South America, Australia and New Zealand in 2018/19. 

She enjoys the diversity of General Practice and getting to know all her patients individually. She has a particular interest in Paediatrics, ENT and Musculoskeletal problems. She performs both microsuction and steroid injections.

She enjoys netball, swimming, pilates and hiking.
