How to Request a Home Visit
If possible patients should make their way to the medical centre to see their GP or health professional. This is because we have much better equipment in the medical centre than we can bring out on visits. Also, for every home visit a GP or nurse makes, they could see several patients in the medical centre, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen. In cases of severe illness, infirmity, or emergencies, the GP or nurse will visit the patient at home.
If you are too ill to attend please call us before 10am if possible, as rounds have to be planned. You will be asked for a reason for the home visit so we can judge the urgency of the call. The doctor may phone before visiting to assess the urgency of the visit, and after calling, they may request an alternative GP to visit if this means the visit will be done more quickly.
To arrange a home visit please call the medical centre on: 01273 426 200.
